Carspect – customer friendly car inspection

Carspect offers a smooth and modern way to inspect your car. With opening hours at evenings, drop-in-possibilities and personal service Carspect has a customer friendly approach. Skriptor worked together with brand development agency Identity Works in this project. We think it led to a very nice concept and a suitable name for this company.

Tritech Products has a new name: Connode

Connode AB is the new name of the former Tritech Products AB, a daughter company to Tritech AB. Connode is also a registered trademark in CTM (EU), Switzerland and Norway. Connode Smart Metering are wireless mesh communication products for collection of gas, electric and water consumption data and Connode Light Control is a system for intelligent management of lighting networks. The reason for the name change was to have a unique, protected company name that can serve as a platform for further growth and expansion on the international market.

Saab Group is an important client of Skriptor. Saab Group serves the global market with world leading products, services and solutions from military defence to civil security. The company has around 12 500 employees.

In a company of Saab’s size it is important to have an internal structure for naming products and services. In 2004 Saab engaged Skriptor to analyze and suggest a naming system. This included how the main brand should be used in different contexts and general guidelines to follow when a new name, trademark or not, should be created.

This project has led to several other projects. For example; some years ago Skriptor created the brand Skeldar (see picture) for an UAV (Unmanned Airborne Vehicle).

An important part of the company is Support and Services with four different divisions. Skriptor was consulted to develop a name for one of these divisions, ILS. This division has a wide range of services including maintenance, support and development of products and services for clients like FMV (Försvarets Materielverk) as well as non-military companies. The new name LIFECYCLE LOGISTICS expresses the long-term relationship that SAAB Group has established with their clients.

”Middagsklart” from Abba

Most of us would like to have more fish on our daily menu, but it may be hard to go from thought to action. Not anymore! The Swedish food company Abba has developed a smooth concept called ”Middagsklart”, where Skriptor did the name creation work. This concept will make it easier for people to cook fish that everybody enjoys. You only have to put salmon to the ready mixed sauces, put it in the oven and its done. The products are specially developed to fit perfect to salmon and they are free from additives. Skriptor has been working with Abba Seafood since the year 2000, in many different projects.

VISION – SKTF changed its name to Vision.

The trade union SKTF changed its name to Vision. Skriptor was a part of the creation process of Vision, where the purpose of the name should be to enhance the members feeling for a secure and at the same time visionary, bright ”tomorrow”. The main target group is young academic students. We at Skriptor think that in a business like this, where they usually use different short letter combinations, it is definitely a lift to choose a name like Vision.

New inspiration from the Marques Conference in Italy

Kristina Björnerstedt is back home from a very good and inspiring MARQUES conference in Baveno, Italy. ”It is always a pleasure to meet so many nice and interesting people, especially at a place like this – with more than 700 delegates – it was a priviledge”. One of many memorable sessions was the one held by the Italian sociology professor Francesco Morace, who shared his concept and analysis of how people in the future will act. Most interesting and energizing speech.

Skriptor has named AstraZeneca’s new medicine ticagrelor which prevents thrombotic events like stroke or heart attack in patients with acute coronary syndrome. Brilinta will be the name of the medicine used in territories including North America. Brilique will be used in territories including Europe.
